Hello Marysville and welcome to “The Berry Patch.”
The Strawberry Festival, not unlike every other Community Festival, could not go on without the support of sponsors. We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank these additional sponsors for this year’s Festival; Alaska Airlines, Coastal Farm & Ranch, Roy Robinson Chevrolet, Subaru & RV Center, Walmart, Leifer Manor, Harrah’s Harvey’s Lake Tahoe, Dairy Queen, Applebee’s, E&E Lumber and North County Outlook. Watch for the next Berry Patch for more sponsors. The support we get from these sponsors help to guarantee the success of our Festival and we encourage you to thank them by patronizing their businesses and saying “thank you for their support of our community.”
Our award-winning float has made trips to the north, to the Hyack Festival in New Westminister, Canada, and south to the Portland Rose Festival Starlight Parade. Your community is being so well represented in other communities by our wonderful Royalty and Float Crew. Their next appearance will be at your 2018 Marysville Strawberry Festival. Thank you all for a job well done.
It's hard to believe the 87th Marysville Strawberry Festival is now underway. On Saturday, June 9, the Berry Run was held and the Kids Day Party took place at Asbery Field, and on Tuesday, June 12, there was the always anticipated Fashion Show Luncheon held at Leifer Manor.
The festival continues this week. For a complete schedule of events and activities, go to www.maryfest.org.
You will know it is Strawberry Festival Week when the first big yellow trucks from Funtastic Shows Carnival begin arriving in town. A great week for our community, get out and enjoy everyone.
One big “Thank You” going to all those who have made this year’s Festival a reality. The Officers, Board of Directors, Event Directors and without a doubt — the volunteers. These are the people that have put so much into our Festival and our community. When you see a Red Festival jacket walking down the street or working at an event, say thanks for their hard work. The city of Marysville employees also deserve your thanks, from the Street Department, the Sanitation Department, the Police and Fire Departments-these people put in a lot of hours to make sure everything goes well.
Stay tuned for more Marysville Strawberry Festival news and event updates.
