Editor,

The Marysville Community Food Bank board of directors has selected the students of the Marysville School District as the volunteers of the month for June. This is in recognition of the tremendous support that students provide the Food Bank throughout the year.

During the holidays no group solicits more food to support the Food Bank than the schools. Multiple senior projects have been performed for the benefit of the Food Bank. Students volunteer to serve their neighbors in need after school and during the summer at the Food Bank. And, as every regular volunteer at the Food Bank knows, students provide the backbone for the work performed during the annual Letter Carriers Food Drive.

Special recognition is given to MPHS Life Skills students that assist at the Food Bank on Mondays, the 18-21 Program students that assist with home deliveries of food to homebound clients, the NJROTC students that provide huge support during the Letter Carriers Food Drive, and the MPHS Volunteer Club members for their continuous support.

Thank you and congratulations to all students of the Marysville School District. You are an important component of support for the community through your service. And your service is a demonstration to all the good in youth.
