"E.T." was fun and free

Editor,

We read about the free showing of the movie "E.T." in your paper, and decided to take the whole family to see the film at the old Everett Theatre. Boy, were we glad that we went!

The theatre is beautiful! I hadn't been inside since the late 1980s, and I barely recognized the place. Even though it's changed, the building still maintains that "hometown" charm, and it was so much more personal than a visit to the mall theater.

I found out the place usually presents live shows and concerts, and we picked out a couple of those that look interesting too. It helps that ticket prices are reasonable.

If you haven't been to the Everett Theatre for awhile, you owe yourself a visit. They plan to show movies twice a month, and there are also plays, concerts and other events. Check out the website, www.everetttheatre.org.
