Annexation an accomplishment?

Re: "Mayor delivers optimism in State of the City address," Feb. 11, 2010. Accomplishments by the fathers of Marysville should not have been the railroading of 20,000 people into the city proper.
Having been given the democratic option of voting, the outcome could have been far different. No election because it would have been too expensive-still thinking that one over.
The only good news as a new citizen is now I can vote.
