Editor,

Attention Snohomish County bus riders: Community Transit is about to eliminate your access to transportation on Sundays.

I understand the need to cut costs in these financial times, but there are other ways to accomplish this without leaving thousands of people with no other transportation option stranded and homebound on Sundays.

This is about to be voted in by the Board of Directors for Community Transit, all of whom are local elected officials and sit on the board by way of their office (mayor, council member of local government). We as the voting public need to voice our opinion to our elected officials and let them know they need to preserve our transportation choices.

Please contact the board of CT and tell them to come up with another plan that preserves 7 day a week bus service.

Community Transit Board of Directors:

Carlton Gipson, councilmember for City of Brier

Dave Gossett, councilmember for Snohomish County

Dennis Kendall, mayor for City of Marysville

Mike Cooper, councilmember for Snohomish County

Joe Marine, mayor for City of Mukilteo

Steve Slawson, councilmember for City of Sultan

Jerry Smith, mayor for City of Mountlake Terrace

Mike Todd, councilmember for City of Mill Creek

Lisa Utter, councilmember for City of Lynnwood
