As a person who has over 30 years of experience as a land use manager and environmental planner, both in public service and as a private consultant, I am supporting Ellen Hiatt Watson for Snohomish County Council.
I know Ellen personally through her hard work on behalf of the neighborhoods, and her dedication to the citizens of north Snohomish County in her efforts to maintain the livability and protect the environmental resources of our community.
To Ellen, quality of life entails the full range of county services: public safety, keeping traffic moving, family-wage jobs, the health of our environment, sidewalks for schoolchildren, opportunity for small business. And a central element of balancing the competing interests that impact our quality of life is a process that is equitable, and which provides citizens with a say in how these interests are balanced.
Ellen is focused on bringing integrity and balanced decision-making to county government. She has demonstrated leadership and initiative in all her efforts.
Ellen is a good listener, open to new ideas, and considers all viewpoints before making a decision. She is a dedicated, hard worker, and will bring that work ethic to county government to the benefit of all citizens.
If you want a council person who will be open to you, and who will consider all viewpoints before making a decision, vote for Ellen.
Ellen will bring fairness, integrity, hard work, and openness to Snohomish County government. These are qualities I strongly support. Vote for Ellen Hiatt Watson.
