Stinky Marysville?

Has anyone ever investigated the stench that hangs like a pall over Marysville, particularly on humid days, and seems to float to the town from across the “flats”? It seems to be a fertilizer-bark-chemical smell.

Does anyone besides me notice this (at times it has made my eyes tear)? I smell it especially as I come up I-5 and leave North Everett and if I come up from Broadway across the “flats,” but it is very apparent throughout Marysville and in our neighborhood, which is quite a distance from that area.

It seems to be pollution, as well as a quality-of-life issue, but I am at a loss as to what to do or whom to talk to about it! Have other readers noticed?

I'm hoping that I might find out that I am not alone in my concern for our environment here in Marysville.
