Unofficial results released for Aug. 7 Primary Election

A variety of local, legislative and federal races appeared on the Aug. 7 Primary Election ballot and unofficial results have been released.

Results for the local races and ballot measures from the Snohomish County Elections are current as of 8 p.m. on Aug. 7 and will be updated again at 5 p.m. on Aug. 8.

The city of Marysville’s Proposition 1, Sales and Use Tax Increase of 0.1% for Criminal Justice Purposes, received 3,897 (53.41 percent) “Approved” votes and 3,399 (46.59 percent) “Rejected” votes.

The Silvana Fire District 19 Emergency Medical Service Levy Lid Lift, received 342 (61.18 percent) “Approved” votes and 217 (38.82 percent) “Rejected” votes.

The Arlington Rural Fire District 21 Proposition 1, Fire and Emergency Medical Services Property Tax, received 637 (50.88 percent) “Approved” votes and 615 (49.12 percent) “Rejected” votes.
