The second quarter was a little tighter as Lakewood outscored the Lions by one point, heading into halftime 31-26.

Over the next two quarters the battle raged back and forth, as neither team refused to slow down. The Cougars stepped up huge on the defensive end as they forced multiple turnovers. In the end, Lakewood was able to put up a 6-0 run to earn the victory over the Lions, 58-52.

"You always preach to play team ball and move the ball around a lot, but with this team you can really do that and have full trust in every player on the floor. It really feeds our team chemistry that everyone can make their shots," said Lakewood Head Coach Anthony WiederKehr.
