Vote 'Yes' for kids

Our family moved to Arlington 12 years ago, and have enjoyed having our six kids in the Arlington School District. They have been very blessed to have excellent teachers, programs and activities. However, our schools have some room for improvement. The upcoming bond measure would help fix some serious concerns. Please vote yes for the bond on Feb. 13th.

There are many good reasons to vote yes. One great reason to vote yes is that the property tax rate will not increase. Also, safety and security would be improved in all schools. Entry vestibules will be added to each school, making the buildings more secure. There would be additional security cameras, and improved door locks.

Our district is preparing for the growth happening in our area. The bond would fund 8 additional classrooms at AHS. The most impactful improvement would be the replacement of Post Middle School. The current outdated building limits the students education. A new middle school would provide teachers and students with better learning opportunities, and room for growth.

Many other necessary improvements are also planned at various schools including a fire sprinkler system at Eagle creek, improvement drainage of ball fields, a new track at Haller Middle School, new floors, improved pickup and drop offs, bus shelter, and more. More info is available on the Arlington school district website on the tab marked 2018 Bond.

Please vote yes on Feb. 13th and help our kids.
