Welcome to The Berry Patch, your road map to the 2018 Marysville Strawberry Festival.

The Marysville Strawberry Festival began in 1932 and the purpose was to celebrate the berry harvest and the dairy business. The Festival was the idea of Leon Stock, the Editor of The Marysville Globe. The first Strawberry Festival Queen was Bonita Parrish. Over the years the Festival was organized by many different organizations, including the Marysville Commercial Club and the Marysville Chamber of Commerce. In 1974 the Chamber decided they did not have the manpower to organize the Festival any longer. Local businessman, Bernie St. Onge, owner of Slumber Ease Mattress Factory, and other local business owners and community members decided they would not let this piece of Marysville history go away. Maryfest Inc. was formed and the rest, as they say, is history. The Marysville Strawberry Festival has survived a lot over these many years, including a Polio outbreak, Mel Tillis and Mt. St. Helens. We are now here to begin the new and improved Marysville Strawberry Festival and we invite all of you to come along for the ride, we promise it will be filled with fun family entertainment.
