Tuomisto is new assistant principal

The Arlington Public Schools' Board of Directors confirmed the selection of Leslie Tuomisto as a new assistant principal of Arlington High School during their regular board meeting on May 22.

Tuomisto has served as an Administrative Intern and Special Education Teacher in the Northshore School District. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Washington, a Bachelor of Education from City University, a Master of Science from Walden University and a Master of Education Leadership from the University of Washington.

"We had a very solid applicant pool of 29 potential candidates for the position," said Mike Johnson, Executive Director of Human Resources. "Leslie brings excellent experience, talent and expertise to our district."

She replaces interim assistant principal, Linda Masteller. Tuomisto will start as AHS' Assistant Principal on July 1.
