Evelyn E. Deckard

June 3, 1924-March 17, 2017

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Gret-Grandmother, Evelyn (Seibert) Deckard passed away on March 17, 2017 with her family by her side. Mom was born in Molson, WA to Meda and William(Bill) Seibert on June 3, 1924. The family moved to Marysville and settled on Sunnyside Hill. Mom graduated from Marysville High School in 1936.

Mom met our Dad, Elza(Ed) when she worked at Paine Field during World War II. They were married on March 31, 1943, moving to Marysville in 1947 with their three children. They purchased a small home, and over the years rebuilt the home they loved so much. Mom loved to work in her yard, Dad in his garden. She was the happiest when all the family came home for Holiday or special dinners, she loved to entertain. Mom worked at McGinnis Electric and at Marysville Electric, retiring in 1983.

Mom and Dad traveled to Indiana, Tennessee and California to see family and loved to go to Reno-where she won and Dad loved to watch her. She loved to meet her lady friends at Fanny’s for breakfast and then spend the rest of the morning at the Casino-winning of course.

Mom’s favorite thing was spending time with family and watching her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Mom is now with the love of her life, our Dad, her parents, her Brother and Sister-In-Law and many other family members and friends. She leaves her Daughter, Cheryl, Sons Ron(Nancy), Bill(Joanne), Grandsons Jay, Todd, Matthew(Brittany), Ian and Aaron, Great-Grandchildren Elza Grace, Joey, Charlie and Mavis.

A celebration of our Mom will be held on Saturday, April 1st, at Fanny’s, 505 Cedar, from 2:30-4:30. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Marysville Fire Dept, Marysville Food Bank, Marysville Boys and Girls Club, Marysville YMCA. Our thanks to Dr. Mary Leary, the staff at Marysville Care Center, Providence ICU, Gina at Funeral Alternatives, Tanya, Jenny and the Fanny’s Family for the kindness, respect and care shown our Mom. Go with our Love, you will always be with us in our hearts.
