MFD responds to serious motor vehicle collision

 


At 9:26 a.m. on Nov. 22, the Marysville Fire District was dispatched to a serious motor vehicle collision with entrapment in the 1600 block of Marine Drive NE. Firefighters arrived at 9:34 Aa.m. and located a two vehicle collision with significant damage blocking Marine Drive NE, with occupants trapped.

The first arriving fire officer reported a two vehicle blocking collision with one vehicle on its side with persons trapped and significant injuries. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the trapped occupants, completing the extrication at 9:59 a.m. Two occupants were transported with serious injuries one by ground to an area hospital and one by air to Harborview Medical Center.

The incident is being investigate by law enforcement (Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and Tulalip Tribes).
