M'ville firefighters collect for food bank

Marysville Firefighters, Local 3219, and Santa plan to gather food again this year for the Marysville Community Food Bank. They will be at the Marysville Safeway at 1258 State Ave., from 3 – 7 p.m., Nov. 29 and 30, and Dec. 1 and 22, collecting donations for the food bank.

During this time of year, the Marysville Community Food Bank relies even more so on the community’s spirit of giving to ensure that families can celebrate the holiday season. Without the community's generous support these local families will not be able to have a joyous holiday season.

Santa will be there with candy canes for the kids (and adults too).

The food bank is also looking for volunteers all season long. If you would like to help or need more information, call the Food Bank at 360-658-1054 or Toy Store Volunteer Coordinator Nancy Van Patten at 425-327-2958 or email her at surviva2@gmail.com.

Firefighters and Santa will gladly accept your donation of food, unwrapped toys or cash donations.
