Arlington Fire extinguishes fire in industrial building; no injuries

Firefighters from the Arlington Fire Department work to extinguish an Oct. 5 fire at Universal Aerospace Inc. in Arlington.

On Tuesday, Oct. 4, at approximately 10:25 a.m., Arlington Fire Department was dispatched to reports of a fire in a building in the 18600 block of 59th Dr. NE, Arlington. Upon arrival, crews discovered an outbuilding at Universal Aerospace Inc., with fire showing. Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to other adjacent buildings and extinguished the fire within minutes.

Universal Aerospace employees fully evacuated the facility prior to the arrival of the fire crews and reported no injuries. Additional units from Marysville Fire District, Snohomish County Fire Protection District #19 (Silvana), and Snohomish County Fire Protection District #21 (Arlington Heights) assisted in extinguishing the fire. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's office will complete an investigation as to the cause of the fire and the estimated loss amount.
