Rose M. Hunter

 

Rose was born to Carl and Macel Haaland in Wallowa, Oregon, October 1, 1932. She was the youngest of 7 children. The family moved from Oregon to Snohomish County 1937.

She married Russ Hunter, September 1, 1956. Rose worked at the Marysville Globe for 15 years, leaving to work with Russ at Hunter's Corner. Rose was a lifelong member of the Covenant Church. Her passions included serving her church, ballroom dancing, knitting, music, hiking, skiing and most of all, family

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Russ Hunter; parents, Carl and Macel Haaland; brothers, Maynard, Edward and Willard Haaland; and sisters Esther McQuatters and Doris Howard. She is survived by her brother, Richard Haaland; three daughters Margaret Martin, Melinda Ramey, and Cindy Hunter; 11 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at Sanctuary Covenant Church August 13th.
