Rants and Raves 4/1/15

RAVE: Hurray for Washington state House of Representatives democrats for proposing a budget that contains $5 million for a M-P cafeteria rebuild. While that money is still not a certainty for the local school district, this is a nice concrete step forward.

RANT: Heading to work going east on 88th Street just in time for a 138-coal-car train ... errr ... but then I end up with a RAVE for the city as I turn right on to State for over a mile of beautiful daffodils and tulips ... aaaah!

RAVE: Good luck to the Everett Silvertips who continue their playoff series against Spokane. The series is tied at one game apiece, with the Chiefs hosting the Silvertips on Wednesday, April 1, and Friday, April 3. The Silvertips will be at home on Saturday, April 4, in the best-of-seven series.

RAVE: Congratulations to the Arlington High School Hi-Q team which recently won the state championship and who will soon be competing in the national championship.

RANT: Why is it that some people think they can just throw their trash on the ground for others to pick up? There are plenty of garbage cans around, use them.
