Arlington police remove evidence from a residence that was found to contain stolen items, illegal drugs and paraphernalia.

When Arlington police served a search warrant in response to a stolen iPad, they discovered a lot more than they expected.

Officers converged on a single-family residence in the 20800 block of 66th Avenue NE early Friday morning, March 14, after an electronic signal was received from an iPad that had been stolen from the AT&T Wireless store in Arlington Thursday evening at about 7:30 p.m. When the device was turned on a few hours later, an alert was received by AT&T security staff and the police were contacted with location information.

In the course of serving the search warrant to recover the device, officers discovered and removed an undisclosed quantity of methamphetamine, scales, an undisclosed amount of cash and drug paraphernalia.

No arrests had been made as of Friday afternoon, although the investigation is ongoing.
