Homeschooled students must register by May 31 to participate in standardized California Achievement Tests (CAT) to be administered by The Bridges to Learning Center in Marysville in June.

The CAT is a complete battery of tests including science, social studies, and study skills. Testing is held over three days to help decrease testing fatigue and ensure success. An itemization of errors and conferencing with a certified teacher is available on the fourth day.

Testing for 4th through 12th grade will be held at Marysville United Methodist Church on June 5, 6 and 7, from 9 a.m. to noon. Scoring and consultation will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 8. The cost is $35 with a parent helping to score the tests on the fourth day. There is an additional $10 fee for the test with teacher scoring. Registration deadline is May 31.

The Bridges to Learning Center is a branch of Academy Northwest, a non-profit, nationally accredited, state-approved private school extension program. Call Patti Deal at (360) 658-0105 or email pdeal@academynorthwest.net for registration or for more information.
