Officials at Arlington Public Schools have announced changes in staffing for the 2012-2013 school year.

Kari Henderson-Burke has been selected to be the new principal for Eagle Creek Elementary School. She has spent the past 5-1/2 years as principal of Monte Cristo Elementary in Granite Falls School District and worked as a sixth grade teacher at Eagle Creek prior to her tenure in Granite Falls.

Dave McKellar, currently Post Middle School principal, will assume the role of principal at Presidents Elementary School. Voni Walker, who has been an assistant principal at Arlington High, will be the new principal at Post Middle School.

Over the past four years, several people have shared Special Education and Title program responsibilities. The district is streamlining those duties by assigning them to Special Education/Grants/Early Learning Coordinators Denise Putnam and Terri Bookey to allow for consolidation of duties. Putnam will assume the role of Secondary Special Programs Coordinator and Bookey will assume the role of Elementary Special Programs Coordinator, effective July 1.
