Lakewood Hi-Q Team dives into quiz competition

Lakewood High School's Hi-Q team has begun months of intense academic competition against 10 other local high schools, hoping to win the 2012 Hi-Q championship. This is Lakewood's first entry into the competition, run locally by Everett Community College, with competitions scheduled for Jan. 18, Feb. 28 and March 12. Lakewood team members include Michaela Boyd, Lauren Burch, Sara Newman and Ryan Whitehead. The team's advisors are Jeff Sowards and Mike Fellows.
