The Tomahawk and Charger booster clubs have devised a great idea that gives supporters an opportunity to be a part of the legacy of Marysville athletics.

For a minimum donation of $50, supporters can purchase a custom-designed brick that will be permanently installed at the Quil Ceda Stadium south entrance walkway. Quil Ceda Stadium is the home field for both the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks and the Marysville Getchell Chargers.

Kris Hanson, vice president of the Tomahawk Booster Club, explained that the bricks will be a tribute to the "Two Schools, One Community" motto the Marysville community adopted after the opening of the new high school.

"Each brick will be a lasting legacy for those that contribute," said Hanson. "You can use the bricks to commemorate a loved one's accomplishment or write encouraging words to future athletes. One brick was even purchased as a 100th birthday gift."

"Years from now, you will be able to bring your grandkids to a game and show them your brick," she added.

Here's how it works: first, choose which booster club's general fund you want your money to go to, either the Tomahawks or Chargers. Then choose one of three brick options and sizes available. Write out the text to be inscribed on your brick and choose an available logo if you desire.

All donations are tax-deductible.
