Cadets tackle roadside spring cleaning

The cadets of the AFJROTC 61st Eagle Squadron at Arlington High School recently cleaned up their "adopted" section of Highway 9, between 172nd St NE (531) and 204th St NE, clearing away 28 large white garbage bags from in front of AHS and Pioneer Elementary schools. In the last three years the cadets have removed over 240 bags of litter, organizing cleanups at least four times during the year. Preparing for the spring cleaning (L-R) are Kriszl Pineda, Hayden Lamie, Dale Cherrier, Jon Pallagi, Alvin Abes, Jordan O'Neall, Reina Quimzon, Bryan Leaf, Steven Campo, Jacob Hughes, Alda Sarmiento and Brett Stovall.
