School transfer period begins February 1

Parents of students in the Marysville School District who choose to enroll their son or daughter in one of the district's option programs, or in a school other than their designated neighborhood school, have about a month in which to make the transfer request.
The district's annual In-District Transfer Request/Out of District request period for the 2010-2011 school year begins Monday, February 1 and ends March 1, 2010.
Transfer request forms must be completed and returned to the designated neighborhood school by the cutoff date. Applications are available in the school office or at the district Service Center, 4220-80th Street NE.
For high school students, Small Learning Community (SLC) annual transfer request forms are available in each SLC office or at the district Service Center.
Several SLC Information Fairs are scheduled for current and future high school students during February. The first event, set for February 3 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., is in the district Board Room and Strawberry Room at the service center. Other informational events are scheduled from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Marysville Middle School February 9, Totem Middle School February 17, and Cedarcrest Middle School February 25.
