Arlington Christian School, located 2425-200th St. NE in Arlington, has announced the return of two popular former teachers to the school for the current education year.

Mel Mehrtens, former teaching principal at ACS, moved to southern California in 1998 and began a second career in title insurance. Mehrtens's love of teaching young people brought him back to education and to Arlington Christian School, where he once again specializes in American history, government and current affairs curriculum in the secondary level.
Former kindergarten teacher Sandra Saddler-Seastone married two years ago and relocated to Gold Bar. Rekindling her passion for teaching reading to young ones, Seastone will work with 1st and 2nd grade students this year.
Founded in 1975, non-denominational Arlington Christian School is situated on over 22 acres west of I-5. The campus, a former dairy farm, takes advantage of the rural atmosphere, wide-open spaces, converted buildings and easy access to the freeway. Between Exits 206 and 208, the location also appeals to families from Stanwood, Camano Island, and Marysville. Enrollment continues even though school has begun for the 2009-2010 year.
