Public invited to dedication of new school

Grove ElementaryIts doors were thrown open to students on September 2, and district officials are now inviting the public to attend a dedication ceremony for Grove Elementary on Thursday, September 25, at 6:30 p.m.

The new elementary school, located at 6510 Grove Street, was finished one year ahead of schedule and at approximately $1 million under budget.

Approximately 400 students will attend Grove during its inaugural year, although the school’s design will accommodate up to 550 students. Funding for the school’s construction was provided by a 2006 capital improvement bond and matching funds from the state.
