Columbia College offers tuition discounts 

The Marysville campus of Columbia College has announced a new 20 percent tuition discount for military spouses enrolling in local classroom-based undergraduate classes. In addition, the local college plans to increase its “Two-in-Family” grant from $20 per course to $75.

Spouses of active duty, National Guard and reserve U.S. Armed Forces members are eligible for the military spouse program.

According to Tom Larsen, director of the Marysville campus, the tuition reduction for military family members is “in recognition of those special individuals who provide such essential support for our Armed Service members.”

The “Two-in-Family” grant applies when two or more immediate family members are enrolled full-time, equal to six credit hours, in a given term. Spouses, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers and sisters are eligible for the award.

Columbia College holds classes year-round, with five academic terms per year. In addition to traditional “in-seat” courses, the college offers over 600 online classes every term. The tuition rate for undergraduate courses is $170 per credit hour.

Columbia College, though a DOD Education partnership, is open to the public. Registration for the upcoming late fall semester, which runs from October 20 to December 13, will begin soon. More information is available through the college’s Web site at www.ccis.edu or by calling (425) 304-4480.
