Veterans' job fair planned at reserves center

WorkSource Snohomish County, in partnership with the National Guard's Joint Service Support and the Fleet and Family Support Program, will host the Snohomish County Regional Veterans' Job and Resource Fair on April 10, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Armed Forces Reserve Center, 13613-40th Ave. NE in Marysville.

"Businesses are always eager to hire veterans, knowing that they have the discipline and the skills to be terrific employees," said James Lapsley, Jr., local veterans employment representative for WorkSource Snohomish County.

"The Job and Resource Fair will be an opportunity for veterans to talk to employers, veterans service providers, and even network with one another," Lapsley explained.

\Veterans should bring copies of their resumes, dress for success, and be prepared to be interviewed on site. Pre-register online at worksourceonline.com.

Businesses participating in the event and looking to hire include: Snohomish County PUD, Border Patrol/Customs, Safeway, Aviation Technical Services, Lowes, Smart Talent, Port of Seattle, and Snohomish County.
