The newsroom at North County Outlook is experiencing a surge of testosterone, as our writing staff increases with the addition of two local men.

Brady Pierce Brady Pierce is in his senior year at the University of Washington-Bothell, studying media and communications, after an on-the-job accident ended his construction industry career. An avid supporter of youth sports, Brady has coached and volunteered with Snohomish Valley Junior Football and Greater Snohomish County/North Sound Youth Football, serving as league president and coordinating complex Jamboree events.

As the Outlook's first staff sports reporter, Brady will help develop the paper's prep and youth sports coverage. Because of our every-other-week publication schedule, look for feature stories about student athletes and local teams, analysis and insights into conference matchups, and a focus on people rather than play-by-play accounts.

Christopher Andersson Christopher Andersson, a longtime Marysville resident, is a UW graduate with a degree in journalism and creative writing, along with practical experience as a community newspaper intern and in covering student government for campus publications.

Christopher will be your eyes and ears at City Council and school board meetings as a city news reporter, and will become a familiar sight at community events as well.

We're pleased to welcome these talented men to our staff, and look forward to sharing their insights with our readers.

Sarah Arney will continue to write about Arlington city news, and Emily McCann will cover feature stories and reviews on assignment.
