The City of Arlington is auctioning off surplus computer equipment, from desktop PCs to laptops, that no longer meet the demands of the city but are still in very good condition for home or small business use.
Each machine has been loaded with a fresh copy of Microsoft Windows XP and includes a keyboard and mouse. The PCs may be inspected prior to purchase, but all are sold as-is with no warranty.
The city is accepting sealed bids on the computers now through August 31 at 4 p.m. Bids must be mailed to the City of Arlington Information Services, 238 N. Olympic Avenue, Arlington, WA 98223, or can be dropped off at the Finance Department at City Hall. Beginning bids on all PCs are set at $100.
To make an appointment to view the equipment, phone (360) 403-3456. For details about the individual computers, visit www.arlingtonwa.gov and follow the link in the "Arlington News" section.
