North County Outlook is pleased to announce the addition of two part-time contributors to our editorial staff. One is a recent college grad with a lot of potential; the other is a familiar name and face to local readers.

Sarah Arney held various positions at The Arlington Times from 1995 to 2009, from news editor to editor of arts and leisure, and finally managing editor. Last summer she accepted a job as copy editor for the Stanwood-Camano News.
Arney has deep roots in the Arlington community. An Oso resident and president of the Arlington Arts Council, she is passionate about public art and the quality of life in her town.
She admits that she missed covering the city of Arlington's news, and has agreed to submit a report on council decisions and city projects for each issue of North County Outlook.
A recent graduate from Brigham Young University, Megan Adams is just starting her professional writing career as she tackles city and school board issues in Marysville.

Adams grew up in Marysville and graduated from Marysville-Pilchuck High School in 2003.
The young woman became familiar with journalistic writing as a copy editor for the campus newspaper and other student publications. She also wrote for the BYU-Idaho wellness newsletter, a tour book for a study abroad program, and class magazines.
She will be our representative at Marysville City Council and school board meetings.
We're also adding a new columnist to our lineup. Rick Randall of Stanwood is a baseball "fan-atic" who will share his love of the game and his insightful comments. See
Randall on Baseball this issue on page 10.
We at North County Outlook are excited to add Megan, Sarah and Rick to our roster, and invite readers to pass along items of interest to any of them. Reach Sarah Arney at
