Citizens who want to take a more active part in their city's business can apply to fill current volunteer positions on Arlington's Airport Commission and the Library Board.

The seven-member Airport Commission provides support and advice to the mayor and City Council on airport projects and issues facing the Arlington Municipal Airport. Persons interested in filling the current vacancy, a three-year term on the Airport Commission, must live within the city limits of Arlington. The commission meets monthly at the Arlington Airport Office.

The Library Board consists of five members, each serving a five-year term, who provide support and advice to the mayor, City Council and the Sno-Isle Regional Library. Meetings are held on a quarterly basis in the Arlington City Council chambers. Applicants for the three vacancies on the Library Board must live within the city limits of Arlington.
