If you're at least 18 years old and meet other requirements, the Arlington Police Department may have a volunteer position for you.

The department has opened a number of non-paid positions to residents who are able to donate 10 or more hours a month to handle various administrative duties.

A volunteer manager, who will supervise and support the department's volunteer program, is also being sought.

Applicants for all positions should have excellent communication skills, a desire to serve the public, and be able to pass a thorough records and background check. Those applying for the volunteer manager job are required to work independently and have demonstrable leadership and management skills.
