Arlington pot operation raided

Pot house raidFollowing up on an anonymous tip, Arlington police raided a suspected drug house in the 4900 block of 196th Pl. NE on Wednesday, October 21, discovering a marijuana growing operation and a cache of weapons.


The Arlington police department, with the assistance of Marysville police and the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant on the home at about 7 p.m. Wednesday evening. The raid was the culmination of an investigation initiated by Arlington police officer Seth Kinney after he received a tip from a concerned citizen.


Once inside the house, officers discovered a marijuana grow operation, seizing a number of marijuana plants, U.S. currency, a cache of pistols and high power rifles, and approximately 180 grams of packaged marijuana.


A 28-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of Violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act (VUCSA) - Manufacturing with Intent to Deliver, a Class B felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and $25,000 in fines.
