The City of Marysville is looking to fill three vacancies on the Salary Commission, an independent seven-member commission that conducts annual reviews of compensation for the elected mayor and city councilmembers.

The vacancies are the result of the term limits for Jim Scharf, Kelly Wright and Gary Edmundson. The three were members of the original Salary Commission when it was created in 2003 and they have each served the maximum of two three-year terms permitted in city codes.

Candidates must be citizens of Marysville. Please submit a letter of interest in care of Assistant Administrative Services Director Tracy Jeffries at Marysville City Hall, 1049 State Ave., Marysville, WA 98270.

Deadline to submit letters is 5 p.m. Friday, July 24. For more information, contact City Hall at (360) 363-8075.

The Salary Commission meets annually between January and March.
