A 47-year-old Marysville man suffered burns on his torso and face during a May 9 fire in the 5400 block of 107th Pl. NE.

Marysville Fire District was dispatched to the scene at about 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, to respond to a report of a man on fire. Minutes later, a second call was received reporting a full residential fire at the same address.

Upon arrival, crews found a man with burns over about 55 percent of his upper body and face. The man was taken to the medical airlift landing zone at Marysville-Pilchuck High School and transported to Harborview Hospital. He was said to have life-threatening injuries.

The crews from Marysville and Getchell Fire departments quickly put out the fire, which was confined to the garage. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's office is investigating. Damages to the structure and contents are estimated at $15,000.
