Marysville residents will soon have a more convenient way to get tabs and licenses or transfer titles for their vehicles.

CLC Auto Licensing is planning a mid-May opening at its located at 9611-F State Avenue, in the Kmart Plaza next to Wagner Jewelers.

Cari Crook, the business owner, has more than 15 years experience in the licensing business, working at Bev's Auto License in south Everett since 1994. When she learned that the Snohomish County Auditor's office was accepting applications for a Marysville office after the previous one closed, Crook filled out the paperwork and waited.

And waited.

In March 2008, she sent in a business proposal to the county and was notified in December that, out of 18 applicants, she had been chosen to run the Marysville location.

Now Crook is waiting for the state to install the office's computers and network services.

"I'm very excited to make this whole process a reality," said Crook. "The ownership thing is new for me, and I'm anxious to do what I can to get involved with community."
