Agency budget cuts have translated into reduced services and increased fees for the Snohomish Health District (SHD) in 2009, specifically impacting the public health agency's tuberculosis and immunization efforts.
Services, hours and fees remain unchanged in the Health District WIC/First Steps Clinic and Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic.
The Everett Immunization Clinic, located at 3020 Rucker Ave., Suite 108, will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. All clinic services will be offered by appointment, with the last appointment scheduled at 4 p.m.
Tuberculin skin tests (TST) will be given and read in the Everett Immunization Clinic by appointment at a cost of $49. A TST ordered as a result of an investigation initiated by the TB Control Program will be at no cost, including follow-up services or treatment. All other tuberculosis services will be offered on weekdays in Suite 200.
Clients may be eligible for a sliding fee scale on some services depending on household income and size. Information on fees and service details are posted at www.snohd.org. Phone (425) 339-5220 for Everett immunization appointments, or (425) 339-5225 for information about the TB Control Program.
