North County Outlook to produce official Strawberry Fest program

Maryfest, Inc., the sponsoring organization of the Marysville Strawberry Festival, recently announced that North County Outlook has been awarded the bid to publish the official program for the 2008 Strawberry Festival, themed “Wish Upon a Berry.”

Jodi Hiatt, the community organi­zation’s advertising director, said, “We look forward to working with North County Outlook and creating a bene­ficial partnership with this new and exciting paper.”

The Strawberry Festival, Marysville’s signature summer event, is held the third weekend of June each year. The schedule of festivities has been expanded to a full week of fun.

“We’re elated to be given this opportunity to work with Maryfest in producing an outstanding, quality publication,” said Sue Stevenson, advertising manager for North County Outlook. “It’s the 77th year for this community event, and we plan to capture its history and fun.”

Advertising proceeds from the program, which will be mailed to Marysville households, helps fund festival activities, scholarships and other events.
