Honorees work on behalf of Arlington's history

Heiderers Three outstanding citizens were honored by the Arlington Masonic Lodge 129 recently. Marietta Roth, Michele Heiderer and Steve Heiderer were presented the Howard A. Christianson Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award May 17.

Marietta Roth was acknowledged for founding the Stillaguamish Genealogy Society, as well as her active participation with 4-H for many years. Michele Heiderer was honored for many years of assistance to the SVGS, and she and Steve Heiderer were recognized for their contributions in helping create the open air Visitor Center at the Stillaguamish Valley Pioneer Museum, which includes a carved three-dimensional cedar map of the watershed showing many historical sites.
