Marysville Homegrown Festival 2012 will be a marketplace showcasing local produce, artisans, musicians, and artists, enlivening Third Street for three days in Marysville on August 10, 11 and 12.

The festival, which has expanded from its usual two-day schedule this year, features high quality handcrafted non-commercial products, along with live music, food and fun activities. 2012 marks the festival's twenty-seventh anniversary.

The Downtown Marysville Merchants, organizers of the event, are accepting applications for artists, craftspeople, food vendors, and local producers of farm products and flowers. Booth space for all three days is $90 until April 30; price increases as availability decreases closer to date. Musicians or street entertainers who are interested in performing in the encouraging, family environment of the downtown Marysville stage and street are also sought.

Homegrown is also seeking volunteers for building stage sets, being stage hands and performing various functions.

To find out more, contact Vicki Miniken, vendor coordinator, at mvillehomegrown@gmail.com; or Eric Schoonmaker, entertainment coordinator, as bassistpeculiare@live.com.
