The Magic Kingdom comes to town as the Arlington Relay For Life kicks off its third year with a Disney-themed parade of lights down Olympic Avenue on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 4:30 p.m.

Heading the parade will be grand marshal Mickey Mouse. Cinderella and Snow White will be there as well as other Disney characters and lighted vehicles, the Rotary train and a decorated fire truck.

The parade will precede the official kickoff of the Relay, which will be held at 5 p.m. at President's Elementary.

The 2012 Relay for Life is planned around the American Cancer Society's theme of "The Magic of Relay: Dream it, Hope it, Cure It." The Arlington Relay will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24, at Arlington High School's John Larson Stadium.

Last year's Relay raised just under $300,000 for the American Cancer Society.
