J.P. Patches, the northwest's favorite clown, made one of his last professional appearances at Marysville's Homegrown Festival on Friday, Aug. 12. J.P. performed for the crowd, then signed autographs and took pictures with fans, among them Captain Dave VanBeek of the Marysville Fire Department, a longtime Patches Pal. Chris Wedes, aka J.P. Patches, has said this summer will be his last to perform as the famous clown, citing health reasons for his retirement.
