Local photographers are invited to submit images that showcase the Arlington area for a citywide contest, "Arlington-Through My Lens." The photos selected will be displayed on the city's website and various publications to help promote the community.
The contest is open to photographers of all ages and all skill levels who are Arlington residents. There will be a youth (17 years and younger) division and an adult division, each with several categories of subject matter. There is no cost to enter and entrants may submit two photos per category.
Photo categories include: People, Pets, Places, Nature, Architecture, Art, and Events. All images must be taken in the 98223 zip code.

www.arlingtonwa.gov or call (360) 403-3448. Only digital entries will be accepted. The deadline to enter is December 15, with winners announced January 12, 2011. Winning photos will receive certificates and recognition by the Arlington City Council.
