The April Friesner Memorial Rose Garden was moved to Totem Middle School following the July 2009 fire that destroyed the caboose that had served as the Maryfest office. Its rededication June 19 included plantings of new roses in honor of Grand Marshals Jack and Nancy Bell, president Angie Miller and the Tulalip Tribes. On hand for the ceremony were members of the Portland Royal Rosarians and this year's Strawberry Festival Royal Court.
