Marysville Rotary clubs distributed dictionaries to third graders in Marysville and Lakewood schools on Friday, March 5, in support of the group's focus on literacy. The dictionaries become students' property, and the youngsters were encouraged to write their names on the bookplate. The Noon Rotary team that visited Pinewood Elementary in Marysville included members (from left) Don Whitfield, Mitch DePriest, Pinewood principal Breeze Williams and Chris Nation. Sunrise Rotary members distributed books at Lakewood Elementary School. Dictionaries are purchased with funds raised during the Rotary's Pumpkins for Literacy campaign.
