The Silvana Community Fair is a one-day event that maintains its down-home flavor with animal exhibits, arts and crafts entries, cooking demonstrations and lots more family-friendly fun. This year's fair is set for Saturday, July 31.

To keep costs low for fair participants, the board will host its annual fundraising auction on Saturday, March 13, at 6 p.m. in Silvana's Viking Hall.

Auctioneers George Magnochi and Dave Fenton will take bids on items that include an electric golf cart, an autographed photo of the Seahawks' Trent Dilfer, a wheelbarrow, gift certificates for a variety of goods and services, home-baked treats and much more.

The evening's door prize is a $400 voucher from Donna's Travel in Stanwood.

Auction-goers can also enjoy hot dogs, chili, nachos, ice cream and apple crisp while they bid for their favorite items and support the local community fair.
