The Marysville Goodwill Job Training and Education Center, located at 9315 State Avenue, offers free assistance for job-seekers with business-focused training to enhance job skills. Beginning in March, classes will also be offered to those preparing to take the American citizenship test.

The U.S. Citizenship class will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., March 15 through May 24. The test-prep class is for those who are able to read and write some English and have started or completed the application for citizenship.

Students for the Citizenship class must pre-register in person March 1 or 2 between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The assessment, paperwork completion and interview process will require about two hours.

Registration for job-related training, including basic computer skills, job readiness and English for speakers of other languages, is also set for March 1 and 2. The eight-week sessions run from March 15 through May 6 and are designed to help those with significant barriers to employment.

Classes fill up fast and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

For class availability and enrollment information, contact Gusti Clark at (360) 657-4058.
