North County Outlook is looking for local reporters to attend City Council and school board meetings in our communities and write articles for publication.
Professional writing experience is helpful but not necessary. Writers must be able to attend evening meetings and other events as required, willing to follow up with the appropriate officials as needed, and dedicated to meeting publication deadlines for the paper. Reporters are occasionally asked to provide compelling photographs to accompany news items. The time commitment is generally less than five hours per week.
North County Outlook provides a positive framework for the discussion of community issues and shares information of interest to readers in north Snohomish County.
The part-time position is budgeted to receive a minimal stipend.
